Uploading MP3’s to QuaverMusic.com
Did you know you can add any MP3 from your existing song library to a Quaver lesson?
While the Quaver Curriculum is jam-packed with over 1,000 songs for a complete school year, we know you have thousands more waiting in your song library. There’s no reason to stop using the songs you’ve collected over the years! We’ve made it easy for you to incorporate these songs INTO your Quaver Curriculum lessons through our customization functionality.
Let’s walk through how to upload your MP3 files into your Quaver Curriculum lessons – eliminating the need to switch between windows!
Note: Quaver’s customization functionality supports only MP3 files. MP4 files must be converted to MP3 before being uploaded to the Curriculum. See below for details!
How to upload an MP3 into a Quaver Curriculum Lesson:
1) Find the Song
Search through your iTunes library (or audio files) for the song you want to add to your slide show. Drag the song onto your desktop.
2) Log in to QuaverMusic.com
Before you can begin your journey, you have to log in to your QuaverMusic.com account. If you do not have a FREE QuaverMusic.com account, click on the SIGN UP window, located in the upper right corner of the screen. If you already have an account, click on the LOG IN window.
3) Access your Teacher-Only Resources
Once you’ve logged in, you can select either the TEACHER tab, located at the bottom of the screen, or the yellow TEACHER ACCESS Bus Stop sign, located on the lower left side.
4) Click the Curriculum Icon
You will be directed to the Teacher Dashboard, a hub for all your teacher-only resources. Go to the left side of the screen and click the Curriculum Icon.
5) Choose a Grade, and Select a Lesson
In the Lesson Selection Menu, select a grade level and choose from any of our 36 lessons provided. Today, we will be working with 2nd grade, Lesson 25 “Instruments of the Orchestra.”
6) CUSTOMIZE the Lesson
Once you’ve selected a grade level and lesson, click the CUSTOMIZE button in the bottom left-hand corner.
7) Name the Lesson
Give your customized lesson a new name, and it will be stored in your RESOURCE MANAGER for future access.
8) Edit the New Lesson
Choose the lesson you want to add an MP3 to and select the EDIT LESSON button, located at the bottom of the screen.
9) CREATE a Screen
In order to add an MP3 file to your slide show, you need to CREATE a new lesson screen and select UPLOAD AUDIO FILES.
10) Upload the Audio File
Enter a title for your new lesson slide, and click CHOOSE FILE.
11) Select Audio File
To locate the file: browse your desktop, open the MP3 and it will appear in the orange box. Click on the song to change the song’s information (song title, artist, style). Once you’ve uploaded all the files you want, click SAVE.
A COMPLETE! screen will appear, confirming that your audio file(s) were successfully added to your slideshow.
12) LAUNCH the Lesson
Voila! Your audio file will be inserted into the lesson, and stored in the RESOURCE MANAGER. If you don’t want it at the end of the lesson, you can drag it to where you want it in your presentation.
