Today is Digital Learning Day, and here at Quaver we are celebrating with a Digital Composition Challenge!

258645409699300.AfLb4oUnw7Jtl2uXlziR_height640Earlier this month Quaver asked your students to create a composition using any of our Creatives (QComposer, QBackBeat, QStrum, and QGrooves). Thank you to all the students and teachers that submitted a composition for Quaver’s Digital Learning Day Challenge! Quaver was blown away by the talent of these young composers. Watch the video below to see which song Quaver chose!

That’s right – Quaver chose the song entitled Contest Time as our Digital Learning Day Challenge winner!

Katie created a versatile melody that Quaver thought was a great foundation for his song! Katie and her classmates in Ms. Jelinek’s class at Lincoln Elementary in Great Bend, KS will win a Skype call with Quaver!

And our runner-up is….

Another congratulations is in order for the students of Mrs. London’s class at Southside Elementary in Versailles, KY. Their song Halls Funkadelic Rondo makes us want to, like Austin Otto says, “groove it out like a psychedelic camel.” The students of Southside Elementary will also receive a Skype call with Quaver.

Thanks to all who participated in our challenge! Share your Digital Learning Day lessons on Twitter using #DLDay – be sure to tag @QuaverMusic and @OfficialDLDay – and on the Quaver Music Facebook page and Digital Learning Day Facebook page.

We are having a technology night in our district tonight. I have 6 third graders demonstrating composition skills with new BAG recorder melodies. We’ll be entering them in Q composer contest.
