Today’s Tip is for users of Quaver’s Curriculum!

To kick off the 2016-2017 school year with a bang, we are sharing back-to-school tips that will help you dive right into Quaver’s resources!

Is your technology ready for the new school year?

There’s no better time than the beginning of a new school year to make certain your classroom technology is up to date and ready to make the most of your Quaver teaching resources!

To make this process even easier than ever, we’ve created the Quaver Tech Checkup to do all the heavy lifting for you – with just one click!

How to do a Quaver Tech Checkup:

1) Access your Teacher-Only Resources

Once you’ve logged in, you can select either the TEACHER tab, located at the bottom of the screen, or the yellow TEACHER ACCESS Bus Stop sign, located on the lower left side.

2) Head to the Support Hub

You will be directed to the Teacher Dashboard, a hub for all your teacher-only resources. Go to the top of the bulletin board and click the Support Hub icon.

3) Select Technical Problems

From the Support Hub homepage, select the blue TECHNICAL PROBLEMS circle.

4) Click “Quaver Tech Checkup”

From the Technical Problems menu, click the “Quaver Tech Checkup” and then hit the TECH CHECKUP button.

5) Sit Back and Relax

We’ll check to make sure you have an updated version of Adobe Flash, measure the bandwidth you’re receiving, and look for any possible problems with video or audio being blocked to your device. If we run across any problems, we’ll tell you how to fix them so you can get on with the good work of teaching your eager new students!

It may take a minute or so to process, but when complete you’ll get a report like this one:

In addition to the Tech Checkup – we also recommend confirming that the Pop Up Blocker in your browser of choice has been disabled. Many Quaver resources open in a new window and a Pop Up Blocker will keep you from seeing them. More detailed instructions available here.

Cheers to a happy, tech-trouble free school year!
