Today’s Tip is for all of our Curriculum and ClassPlay users!
To kick off the 2016-2017 school year with a bang, we are sharing back-to-school tips that will help you dive right into Quaver’s resources!
Have you seen the latest improvements to our Full Score activity?
Our ClassPlay Full Score now offers key and tempo options for more than 30 songs – allowing you to teach lyrics or instrument parts of a song at a slower tempo, in a different key, or both! This functionality was previously offered in a separate Key/Tempo Options activity for many songs, but is now being rolled into the powerful Full Score! Let’s take a look at this feature in one of our favorite ClassPlay songs, “London Bridge.”
How to access Full Score:
- Visit QuaverMusic.com and log in to your Teacher Account
- Click the TEACHER Tab
- Click the ClassPlay icon, located on the Teacher Dashboard
- Search by category or type the song title into the search bar
- Open FULL SCORE from the Song Hub and let the fun begin!
Exploring Key/Tempo with Quaver’s Full Score Activity:
Adjust the Key
You can adjust the key of the song by toggling the KEY button, located on the bottom right-hand corner. An asterisk (*) is placed by the settings of the original Quaver recording.
Students will be able to visually see the differences between the keys by noting the sharps and flats in the key signature and where the notes begin on the staff.
Adjust the Tempo
Using the TEMPO toggle right next the KEY button, you can slow the tempo – a very handy tool when first teaching a song!

As we work to continue adding this functionality to more ClassPlay songs, you will continue to see some with Key/Tempo Options as well. Let us know if there are songs where you would love to see these options!
