Each Tuesday, we bring you a Tip of the Week to make using your Quaver resources easier than ever!

Click Play to listen to our Tip of the Week jingle! (Email readers, click-through to listen to the Tip of the Week Tune)

Today’s Tip is for users of Quaver’s Curriculum!

Have you tried customizing the grading scale for a Quaver assignment yet?

Let’s continue the fun as we keep digging deeper into the new features released last month!

New Feature #6: New Assignment Slides

In an ongoing effort to make it easier to give and grade Quaver assignments, we have added 12 SAMPLE ASSIGNMENT SLIDES to the Quaver Curriculum.

When used in the course of a Quaver lesson, these slides make it easy to discuss and distribute an assignment to a class of students all from one screen within the Lesson Plan Presenter.

How to add Assignment Slides to your custom lesson:

1) Head to the Resource Manager

After you’ve signed into your QuaverMusic.com account and clicked the yellow TEACHER TAB, click on the RESOURCE MANAGER icon located on the Teacher Dashboard.

2) Search “Assignment”

From your Quaver library, located on the left side of the Resource Manager screen, search “assignment” in the search bar and click the magnifying glass to find 12 sample assignments ready to launch or add to a custom lesson.

You can expect more Assignment Slides in the future, but only these 12 sample assignments are currently available, so the assignments in your personal GradeBook will not yet appear here.

3) Choose a Slide

Notice the activity slides with the A+ icon next to them, select one, and notice where the activity is being used in the curriculum in the preview window at the bottom of the screen.

From here you have some options:

    1. Click LAUNCH to check it out right away
    2. Drag and drop the assignment slide into one of your custom lessons
    3. Save the assignment slide in a folder in Resource Manager to easily find later

4) Select a Class

When you come to the slide within a lesson, you can easily give the assignment with just a few clicks! Select your class from the drop down, then the Class Code will appear – students can enter this at login to enroll!

5) And Assign!

Enter a Due Date into the box, click ASSIGN, and Boom-Chicka-Boom! You’ll get a thumbs up to let you know it’s gone through, and students can access the assignment in their STUDENT DASHBOARD.

Currently, there is no way to connect the Assignment Slides to mobile devices or the QStudent App, but we’re working on it – and you know how fast we develop new innovations!

Have you checked out the Assignment Slides yet? How do you think you’ll use them in your custom lessons?
