Each Tuesday, we bring you a Tip of the Week to make using your Quaver resources easier than ever!

Today’s Tip is for users of Quaver’s Curriculum!

Have you shared any of your custom Quaver lessons?

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be digging deeper into more new features released in April!

New Feature #2: Editing and Printing Custom Lesson Plans

Now that you are an expert at customizing lessons, you’re probably ready to see your beautiful lesson plan in print (and share it with your administration). Quaver teachers can now edit the header portion of a lesson plan to match their changes, and easily print their completely custom lesson plan.

How to Edit Custom Lesson Plan Headers:

1) Go to your Resource Manager

After you’ve signed into your QuaverMusic.com account and clicked the yellow TEACHER TAB, click on the RESOURCE MANAGER located on the Teacher Dashboard.

2) Select a custom lesson from your Resource Manager

Once you’re in the Resource Manager, select the custom lesson you want to create your own headers for, and click EDIT from the Preview Window at the bottom of the screen.

3) Hover over the Menu Dropdown and click Edit Headers

Click the MENU button in the top right-hand corner and choose EDIT HEADERS in the drop-down menu.

4) Edit the Lesson Plan Headers

Make changes to the objective, resources, standards and more, then click SAVE to complete.

Teacher Tip: You can now edit the notes for ANY screen by selecting it in the Edit Lesson screen and clicking EDIT NOTES. Boom-Chicka-Brilliant!

How to Print a Custom Lesson Plan:

1) Select the lesson you want to print

Select the lesson you want to print and hover over the MENU button to click LESSON PLAN.

2) Print the lesson

The lesson plan will open in a new window where you can use your browser’s print menu to print or save as a PDF to your computer!

When you print a custom lesson plan you’ll notice new images now appear for customized activities.

And Boom-Chicka-Boom! You now have a hard copy of your custom lesson ready to give your administrator or to keep for your records.

Have you found this new feature handy? Stay tuned as we continue unpacking all of our recent updates!

Is there a way to export these to word? That way I can cope paste the lesson into my districts lesson planner site.

Hi Jacqueline,

You can export your lesson plan as a PDF! Here are step-by-step instructions on how to save your lesson as a PDF. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Have a great day!

In the boxes for “Classroom Resources” and “Music in Lesson”, all of the text is in one long horizontal line that’s impossible to see unless you position the cursor at the end of a word, then hit return and continue doing so until you’ve managed to retrieve all the words that are in that box. Then you can arrange, delete, as needed. I don’t remember it being like this last year…has something changed in the program? Thanks!

(Some adjustments also have to be made in the “standards” box, but not as extensive as in the other two).
