Have you tried any of our new login lesson ideas?

Over the next couple of days, we will be digging deeper into the new features released on Monday, uncovering the details that will help enhance your teaching!

New Feature #3: Easier Access to Student Interactives.

Do your students use laptops or netbooks in the classroom?

You’ll be happy to know we’ve made it easier and faster than ever for you and your students to access our Student Interactives! Students don’t even need a QuaverMusic.com account to access these activities.

Here’s How it Works:

    • Students pull up the QuaverMusic.com homepage
      • Instead of clicking to LOG IN or SIGN UP, they simply click the new STUDENT INTERACTIVES sign on the signpost to the left of the screen
      • Next, they enter a class code generated from your Teacher Administration (ANY class code will do. You can simply create one code for all your classes if you like!)
      • They click ENTER and . . .
      • Boom-Chicka-Boom!

From the Student Interactives Menu, they can jump into any category or select their Grade Level to further narrow down the activities.

You might walk your students through this process by doing the same thing from your computer, tied to an interactive whiteboard or projection screen.

Teachers: All your students need is a Class Code – here’s how to access one easily:

1) Go to Student Interactives

You can access the menu the same way, by clicking on the new road sign, only you should be logged into your teacher account. You will see a menu that includes some extra information and the ability to Select Grades and Show Classes.

2) Click the SHOW CLASSES button

To pull up all the active classes in your current GradeBook, click on the green SHOW CLASSES button.

3) Display the class code

Click any of the Class Codes to display it on the screen as well – in the yellow box at the top of the screen. If no classes appear, you’ll need to first create one in Teacher Administration.

Teacher Tip: You can use the same code for all classes since it simply opens this menu for them! In fact, we recommend making a new class for just this purpose and alway using the same code.

We hope that by giving teachers access to the Class Code here, you’ll be able to easily project if for your students so they can get to the Student Interactives as quickly as possible.

A note about Student Interactives: We developed these activities to work in conjunction with the Quaver Curriculum but have made them available to all program users and their students for a limited time.

Which Student Interactives are your students’ favorites?
