Last week, we introduced you to the Recorder Song Book – a tangible way for students to practice with their recorders at home, anytime.

This week, we’re kicking it up another notch by allowing students to access the track and score for each song on their mobile devices.

Mobile Recorder ScoreEach Quaver Recorder song now includes an Animated Score activity accessible from student devices.

Once activated by a teacher – students will have access to the Animated Score on their device for 24 hours, including options to play with or without the recorder, and a built-in draw tool for highlighting sections that may give them trouble.

How can you find these scores?

If you’re looking for a particular score, we recommend using the Resource Manager to search for where the activity appears in the Curriculum.

  • Log in to your QuaverMusic.com Teacher Account
  • Click the TEACHER TAB
  • Click RESOURCE MANAGER on the Teacher Dashboard
  • Enter the name of any Quaver Recorder Song in the Search bar and click the magnifying glass to search
  • Select an ANIMATED SCORE activity, and click launch!

Mobile Recorder Search

You’ll also come across these activities naturally in the course of teaching your Quaver Recorder lessons. The TOOLS icon in your Navigation Bar will change to a Mobile Device when an Interactive is available. Like in this appearance of “AAA” in 3rd Grade, Lesson 20:

Mobile Recorder Scores

When you see that Mobile Tools Icon, click TOOLS and then MOBILE to pull up a QR Code students can scan to pull up the score on their device.

QR Code

We recommend using the QR Scanner in the QStudent App – available for free from the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store . Alternatively, students can open their browser apps and go to www.QuaverMusic.com/MobileApp and enter the short alphanumeric Quaver code shown on the screen.

Why not send your students home with a little hand-on recorder homework this week? We can’t wait to hear how it goes!

I wish this was available to those of us who are using Quaver Essentials. My students love the recorder lessons on Class Play. They feel successful so early and the animated scores are so fun!

Hey Anna,

Thanks for your comment. We will definitely continue to consider ways to make all our programs accessible to students via mobile. Currently, as you know, these Interactives are exclusive to the Curriculum lessons. Let us know if you have any other big wishes or suggestions and stay tuned!
