in QK-5 Curriculum

Since the Quaver QK-5 Curriculum was released in August of 2013, we’ve been asking for feedback from users, asking YOU what you want to see and what would help make teaching music even easier for you.

One thing we heard loud and clear: Customization!

You want to be able to take your Quaver Resources and make them work for you – adding in time-tested activities and resources that you love, and integrating them into the Quaver Lessons.

To meet that need, we are pleased to announce . . .
. . . Curriculum Customization is Live!

This feature allows you to take any lesson in the QK-5 Curriculum and customize it by re-ordering and removing screens, and even adding your own personalized content!

Navigate to any Lesson in the Curriculum & Click the new CUSTOMIZE button to try it out!

Customize 1

Next you’ll see all the Elements in the Quaver Lesson, ready to customize!

Drag items up and down to Reorder our lesson screens.

Or Add New Screens with any of the resources you already own:

  • YouTube clips
  • Audio files
  • PDF
  • Hyperlinks
  • Quaver checklists
  • Custom quizzes

You can even Edit the Lesson Notes for new Screens so you’ll have everything you need when you Launch your New Lesson.

Click SAVE, then give your new Lesson a Name, and a home in a Resource Manager Folder

I love it!. I started out using the Resource Manager this past week to create a file of audio clips from the Quaver Library for aural identification of tempos heard. I was having to minimize and pull up a 1st grade lesson to combine from the Curriculum menu. With the new customizable feature now online, I have been able to combine the curriculum and audio files into one file in the Resource Manager and also remove the parts I didn’t need or have time for.
