Hello Quaver Universe – Venue Maestro Brandon here!
It’s been quite a while since we – the creative team behind Quaver’s Venues – have surfaced. We’ve been deep in the caves digging up more Music History and Style content for you venue-craving spelunkers.
In fact, we have a brand new feature in our venues to tell you about!
We have spent hours and hours of marketing research, focus groups, a few calls to Madagascar, and finally, we’ve arrived at the perfect name for this new feature . . . We’re calling it the . . . Basic Venue Book!!! Can you believe it!?! The Basic Venue Book. It took many long hours and sleepless nights to arrive at this name.
What are these Basic Venue Books?
What will I find inside?
Well, I’m glad you asked! You’ll find, wait for it, basic versions of our advanced Venue Books! How can that be? Well, we wanted to make things a bit more user-friendly in our venues for those in Kindergarten through 2nd grade world.
When you go to a any venue, style or time, and click on the “Book” in the Menu, you will now be offered the option to click on the “Basic” book or the “Advanced” book.
What is the difference between the “Basic” book and the “Advanced” book?
You are on top of it! If you click on the “Advanced” book you will see that it is the version of the book that was already in the venue. The wording is a bit more advanced, there is more content, there are 10 – 16 pages, and the quiz section has 10 questions. If you click on the “Basic” book, you will see a simplified version of content on the same subject material. The book’s reading level caters more to the K – 2 grade levels, it is more picture based, it only has 4 – 8 pages, and there are only 4 questions in the quiz.
These Basic Venue Books are also super effective for in-class instruction.
With bigger images and simple language, they work great on an interactive whiteboard! Get your class up and interacting with the pages, and take the quiz as a class for a great lesson in any of our Style or History Venues!
The goal of these Basic Venue Books is to help you reach younger students and lay a little ground work for their understanding of a given style of music or time period of music. Let us know what you think!
We sure hope YOU enjoy exploring the venues and the “Basic” venue books as much as we enjoyed putting them together!
Stay tuned next time to find out if the wooden chest we discovered contains the long forgotten treasure of El Quavero and the Lost City of Music . . .
