When she’s not biking around Pittsburgh or cheering on her Steelers, Carol Froehlich teaches Elementary Music at two schools in the Mt. Lebanon School District.
She’s with us today to share her experience with Quaver!

“Come to Nashville and learn about a new music program for your school!”
These are the words that opened up the doors to an incredible new music program for the students in my school! When I was invited to join the Quaver Advisory Council in 2010, I had no idea what it would mean for my students. Who knew such an innovative program for kids was in the making?
Once I experienced first-hand what Quaver Music was all about, I knew that this was an opportunity that could not be missed! Since meeting the Quaver team, I have made it a personal mission to bring Quaver to students not only in my classes, but in all the schools in my district! With seven elementary schools in the Mt. Lebanon School District, I looked for a way to purchase kits so that every student could benefit from this new program.
Thanks to the Mt. Lebanon Foundation for Education (MLFE) teacher grant program, I am now able to purchase kits for other teachers in our district!
I simply filled out their online application, demonstrating how Quaver Music could fulfill the MLFE’s mission: To promote and support innovative and challenging learning experiences for Mt. Lebanon students.
Quaver Music easily met two of the MLFE’s core values: To expand the boundaries of learning and To foster partnerships with educational, cultural, and private entities.
Thank you to Quaver Music and the MLFE for enriching the lives of our students through music!
