One of the greatest things about QuaverMusic.com is that it’s constantly changing and growing!

We’re adding new things every month and THIS blog is a great place to find out about them! We’ll be showcasing what’s new the first Wednesday of every month!

October ROCKS at QuaverMusic.com!

Travel back in time, all the way to the 1700s, in the recently-opened Cristofori Time Venue at QuaverMusic.com.

Dig deep into the history of Rock with the Piano's Inventor!

One thing’s for certain, there would be no Rock n’ Roll without the piano!

You’ll be transported through Quaver’s time-traveling phone box to the workshop of Bartolomeo Cristofori – the Italian inventor of the Piano Forte in 1709. While exploring the games, resources, and interactive elements in the venue, students will:

  • Learn the meanings of Forte & Piano and the significance of their connection to this dynamic instrument
  • Review the history of keyboard instruments before the piano as we know it
  • Unpack the science of the piano’s construction – pedals, felt hammers and all
  • Dissect a piano to see what’s inside
  • Listen to Cristofori compositions while exploring his workshop
  • Recognize different types of pianos
  • Play puzzles and matching games to drive home parts, history, and famous players of the piano
  • Test their skill with the Cristofori Diploma Challenge for a chance to win a diploma for their music room AND a piano key neck tie for their avatar.

A world of exploration is waiting for you in the year 1709 – visit QuaverMusic.com and enter the Phone Box in Quaver’s Music Shop today!
